Haircuttery's UNFAIR and UNEQUAL Treatment

Haircuttery believes in a very simple philosophy: our Stylists come first. Well being a stylist of the haircuttery for a year then being terminated for a minor mistake that the salon leader and assistant salon leader would do. I'm calling them out on that, that is not their philosophy and if it truly is why are they able to pick and choose who the fair and equal treatment policy applies to and doesn't apply to. I was with haircuttery for exactly one year, and in that year I was never written up and never given any points under their policy. When I was hired it was by a past salon leader, Melissa who had moved home. Which then was replaced with salon leader Casey. At the begging she was great the rules applied to everyone so it seemed, then she would pick and choose who to apply them to and who not. Which never matter to me seeing how I never broke the rules. But I guess when I questioned her ability as salon leader after multiple mistakes, along with many other stylist, she wanted to terminate me and she did. She terminated me for a mistake that was made due to us being understaffed, and that the leadership team also does. My termination was because an ex stylist that worked there had come in for me to do her eyebrows someone let her in the back door and as I was in the middle of finishing my client she sat and waited in the dryer chair. When I was done with my client she sat in the wax chair and I did her eyebrows she then gave me the $10, then she went out the back door. While I was doing her eyebrows two more clients came in for me this was around 8:30. So I was trying to hurry to get my two request done, and it had totally slipped my mind to run the transaction, until it was too late and the system was closed so I placed the money in my assigned locker so I could put it through when I went in the very next day. When I had gotten in the next day I set up my stuff then was pulled in back and asked about what had happened and I explained I had the money in my lock it was a mistake. She then called Debbi her boss then pulled me in back and told me at this time we have to terminate you, with a smile then stared at me waiting for some type of response which I told her I felt was totally unfair. Then she looked at me and smiled and asked me if I would like her to pack my stuff.

You have the main salon leader Casey who when was first hired would have her boyfriend sitting in the back room, and when he would need his hair cut or his eyebrows done she would do it and not charge him. When a stylist had gotten her hair done and forgot to pay and told Casey she forgot to pay instead of taking her money and terminating her she ignored it and the stylist had to go to the assistant leader to pay. You have her breaking dress code and knowing it by wearing a polka dotted dress that you could see the tattoo on her butt. Best of all Casey as salon leader had forgotten to lock Hair Cuttery's front door and when the police officers tried calling her to come down and go over everything to see if anything was missing she IGNORED her calls. But all of those were not grounds for termination because she is salon leader. Then you have Courtney the assistant leader, who on two occasions, which I have witnesses not charging her clients at all. One being in February on a Friday it was a client named Elmer which he had forgotten his wallet and when he told her that she said just get me next time. Another time was when I was standing right next to her and he system kept going in to riselent and she was not sure if his credit card went through and she said just go and if it didn't you can just get me next time. So I guess it is ok just to not charge because you are leader but to forget for the night is grounds for termination. Then you have a stylist that use to be part of the leadership team that went in the system to change her hours without the proper authority and when she told leadership they told her its ok. Best of all you had a stylist that was caught with marijuana at work and had been written up in the past, and when she was found with it they had placed her on probation. Now all of that seems fair. I'm not one to point out other peoples mistakes but when I am terminated because a simple mistake that the leadership has also done then that is totally not fair.

When trying to resolve this by calling the corporation and I heard nothing. I was fired on Saturday October 1st , I had called Debbie that Saturday and did not hear anything. I then called on Monday, I heard from her on Tuesday when she informed me her hands are tied the rules are the rules but I could try calling associate relations. So that day I called help desk and started and report, I then had called everyday until I had finally heard something from Natie on October 13th where I was told that she would look into it and she had to speak to Debbi and that she would be calling me no later than the following Tuesday which would be the 18th when I did not hear from her I called Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and even on Sunday to help desk. I don't feel that it is fair to take something that I had built up for over a year and be able to terminate me in just two hours but now had almost taken a month to get any type of answer. I was a great employee and great stylist, and what is right is right, and the rules should apply to all not just to who they pick and choose.

Ok so I've been working at HC for 3 months now, and am SO burnt out! They def.

do treat their employees unfairly. I dont get any breaks and am forced to work all different hours during the week (no set schedule whatsover) and have been working all weekend with no days off. Sometimes 7 days straight! We have no receptionist and have to answer phones, check in clients and make appointments all the while doing our own clients.

Its pathetic. They constantly push you to make quota and sell, sell, sell retail constantly. I feel like nothing but a slave to this company.

Its all about how much money you can make for them, and you get overworked and underpaid. Cant wait for the day I can get a normal job at a normal salon!!

I am also fed up with Hair Cuttery. They abuse their stylist.

We work with no supplies and no help. We are understaffed with no management for over 6 months! I never get to eat lunch or go to the bathroom. I should wear a diaper to work.

They could care less about the employee. People wonder why they get bad haircuts. It's because the employees are seeing double and over worked!

I am so disgusted with their lack of heart towards human beings. This is my last week working for them and I can't wait to tell them to stick it!

My stylist worked for haircuttery for 13yrs. She was terminated for not selling enough hair products.

I think the consumer should decide what to spend their money on. The stylist shouldn't be the one PUNISHED. Completely unfair.

Our economy isn't the greatest right now. Get real Haircuttery!!!!!!

Its horrible. I just went thru the same treatment . I turned in a resignation letter because of similar incidents you have experinced and the SL an DL send me a text saying not come in anymore. While i ahd a full book of clients the next day waiting for me....

THE WORST company ever.

Dont give up reporting these people . I may make a trip to see Dennis my self!

They condecend to the customer as well. Ironically, as a walk in they told me the worst thing I can do as a new customer was to be a walk in.

I only wanted a consult and the salon was dead so we agreed to give it a go. there was a weird tension in the air in both of the salons I entered. Somethings not right.

Same with Delaria. I miss my old stylist so much.

This explains why I went in as a blond, took photos with me and my formula and had 3 requirements 1. dont' make me look older than whenI walked in, 2. no red it turns copper on mne 3. grow out layers, I can't see with all these layers and I need to see for work.

1. I left with a copper brown color because "it's better for your hair andn will make eyes pop". I looked old, pale, drawn and the only thing that popped were my wrinkles.

2. I was told it was dark blond. It ws dark copper

3.re cut all the layers i had finally almost grown out. I have not been able to see and have ruined my hair with tie backs and baretts.

I have never looked so awful.

The tech was stressed, walkins were forced upon her while the other stylist (only 2) cut hair and took on one new. I was told I'd be there 2 hrs. max. I was finally released in 4 hours. She could'nt get the new color to take because I have "hot blood". No, it's because you didn't listen to me and give me the blond that I was "married to".

I dont' know whom I felt more sorry for- her or myself. I look like ***. Her regional supervisor was willing to meet with me but at 1:00-3:00 on a Wed. I'm at work. I have no gone back

so are most. i am being pushed out for even less of a reason. this company has changed and not for the better.

they belittle you, underpay and overwork you, and most of all CONDESCEND to you. good luck.
